Intense Royal Blue & LEB Workshop Assignment 7: Legs and Feet

I truly enjoy wearing this royal blue number! Dresses are in my opinion, the easiest piece of clothing that a woman can style. This dress was no exception. I added accessories of my choice and hit the door.
I would have to say that blue is quite possibly my favorite color. There isn't really a specific shade that suits my fancy more than others, they are all so beautiful! Take notice of the fit & flare design, an added bonus to the intense shade of blue ;)

LEB Workshop Assignment 7: Legs and Feet
I've been running seriously behind on my LEB assignments (hosted by lovely Leah), so I decided to do a combined post today (previous assignments are posted here, here, and here). This month's focus is on legs and feet. I am grateful for my legs because they get me from Point A to Point B. I've been told since I was a little girl that I have big legs. Perhaps they are in the opinion of some, but I like them just the way they are. As for my feet, well now they can be a bit fussy because of hereditary issues, but all in all I have no complaints. Check out all my blogmates here.
Back to the style portion of this post:
Every time that I wear this dress, I accessorize it differently. Really, you can change the entire vibe of a look with the accessories that you choose. The options are boundless =) Here's a close-up of the accessories that I wore this go round.

Earrings: Natasha
Necklace: Boutique (Can't remember the name of it)
Dress: Eliza J.
Sequins clutch: Vintage
Peep toe pumps: Antonio Melani

Until next time, thanks for stopping by style lovers!

Coral Hued

Can you believe that the month of June is here?! I am in disbelief!! 2014 is halfway over! Time is flying by so fast, that honestly I can barely keep up. Nonetheless, as the saying goes: 'The show must go on.'
Today's post features a vintage number that I altered myself. Sometimes I spot vintage pieces that I like, yet they have a "but" factor. What do I mean? Well, it's when you see a dress or skirt, etc.,. while shopping and you say/think: "I like that, but...". For this dress I thought: "I like it, but I'm not feeling the sleeves." Nonetheless I purchased it, and eventually cut off the sheer sleeves. TIP: When vintage shopping, I find it best to think outside the box as much as possible.
This dress is a classic a-line silhouette, and drapes effortlessly.
I decided to wear this handmade vintage clutch with it, because let's face it- it was the right thing to do! LOL! Seriously, the embroidery is meticulously done, and the color of the flower is almost an exact match.
Now these shoes were actually on their way to my donate pile, when I realized that they were an exact match to the color of this dress. I'm not that crazy about wedge style shoes anymore, and I've noticed that I've been slowly removing them from my wardrobe.
All in all, I was pleased with the completed look, and I decided that I'll hang on to this pair of wedges for a little bit longer ;)

Thrift Store Score: You Can Call Me Pinky

It's been a quite a while since I posted a #ThriftStoreScore, so I decided today is just as good as any: CARPE DIEM!!!

I first introduced #ThriftStoreScore here. As previously mentioned, there are several reasons as to why I am an avid Thrifter.

Today's reason: I ENJOY it! Yep, you read correctly, I enjoy thrift store shopping! Why in the world?! Well, yes, I know that some shoppes smell funny, and then there's a high probability that you will have to sift through piles of refuse, BUT that moment when you score a gem? PRICELESS! EUPHORIA! JOY! I think it's kinda like what hunters say about the thrill of the chase/hunt. Or um, something like that...

Yes, thrifting is truly a hobby for me, and a stress reliever. Of course, my entire wardrobe is not comprised of thrifted items. =) However, there are quite a few pieces sprinkled throughout, and I truly treasure them, no matter how long (or how short) they are apart of my collective.

Have a great weekend lovlies and CARPE DIEM!

Sea of Florals

This week is a short one, yet I can hardly believe that it is Wednesday already! Can we say two more days until FRIDAY?!
This silk floral number is a goodie from my stash, I simply never tire of the spring-like floral print.  So much so that I have began to wear it all year around. I'm thankful for the mild climate here! This floral print has lovely hues of pink, purple, and bursts of gold- irresistible!

It's effortless to wear, and although it is silk, it doesn't wrinkle excessively.

I'm particularly fond of the waist panel detail and runching on the bodice. Wait, who am I  kidding? The floral print sold this number! LOL!
I'm a girly girl in every way and I love every feminine detail being served in this dress :)

This time around I wore it with a lilac leather handbag and neutral snakeskin pumps.

Dress: Suzi Chin for Maggy Boutique

Stripes Reloaded

Hey there, I'm sorry that I've been MIA for a minute! I intentionally took a miniature blogging break, but then it unintentionally turned into a long break O_O!
I just didn't feel like posing, taking pictures, writing, or posting  *_*. But alas, I'm over it and back in action =)

Today's look isn't new to the blog (last worn here), I think of it as an oldie but goodie. Every time I wear, I feel, simply put: Good!

I'm actually standing outside of my dressing room, which I revealed on Instagram. I might do a blog post on it when it's finished.

I also straightened my hair, which added to my whimsical mood.

I am completely taken by stripes, and I'm sure I'll continue to incorporate them even after the trend craze has passed.

So, how do you stripe?! LOL!

Until next time, and I promise- it will be sooner than later ;)

30PlusStyle: Tutu the Curvy Woman’s Way

The day has finally arrived when I can share with you a post that I have seriously been bubbling over about!
Warning- This just may be the most picture heavy blog post that I have ever published! LOL! ;)

As announced last month, I have partnered with five gorgeous plus size bloggers for a 30+ Style Collaboration: PepperNefferth, Georgette, Jeniese, and Delilah.

For the second part of our style series, we bring you:
#30PlusStyle Tutu the Curvy Woman’s Way

This month we are showcasing how to design a look around a tutu/tulle skirt. Being the lover of vintage that I am, I incorporated elements that are authentic to my personal style.

Wearing a tulle skirt/tutu is ultra fun and feminine, and there are endless possibilities when it comes to styling it!

Check out how all of the #30PlusStyle beauties styled their tutus:
