Fall into Denim with Lane Bryant

This post is sponsored by Lane Bryant. All opinions are my own.

Fall is officially nine days away. Around this time each year, I find myself switching out traditional summer bottoms for denim. Finding great fitting denim pants can be a challenge. I was excited when Lane Bryant reached out to me to try a pair of denim pants from their latest collection. I selected this pair of Signature Fit skinny jeans because in my mind skinny jeans will never go out of style. They look PHENOMENAL on curves! Plus, I LOVE the seam detailing on this pair. Of particular interest to me was the Flex Magic Waistband, which features a no-gap, stretch waistband that moves with you for all-day comfort. My waist size is significantly smaller than my hip size, having a waistband that actually fits is imperative! The jeans that I am wearing in this post are size 12, Babes the fit is AH-MAZING!!! There is just the right amount stretch to make moving around with ease effortless AND the jeans hug your curves 😍. I styled my jeans with a Striped Button-Front Tie-Front Top that can be worn during the day or night as shown here. The look is finished off with Snake Skin Print Sandals - which seriously go with EVERYTHING!
Over to you Babes, have you tried out Lane Bryant's Jeans Guide? If so, what do you think?!
Until next time,

Summer Snaps

Hey Loves,
In a recent closet dive, I came across this summery two-piece lemon print set that I don't wear nearly enough 😲 The crop top is accompanied by a midi-length skirt, both have amazing ease of wear. Although this set sold out rather quickly, I've linked a comparable skirt above.
Fruity prints are the epitome of summer fashion, I wish that this set also came in peach and pineapple 😉

Fringe Factor

Sunnies: c/o HERE | Denim fringe jacket: c/o HERE
White denim jeans: Similar HERE + another option HERE| Shoes: Kenneth Cole, sold out

Hey Babes!
Today's post is all about the denim fringe jacket you never knew you needed 😁 No, but seriously - if you are a collector of denim jackets, this one may catch your eye! I have more than a few denim jackets/vests in my current inventory, however, none of them boast fringe detailing! I L💖VE how the fringe takes center stage!
I found the fit of the jacket to be a tad too large for my taste (I'm wearing a size 0XL), so I knotted it just above my waist and styled it as a crop top 😉 This offered the exact fit that I envisioned! Always remember: In fashion, everything is fair game!

Currently Coveting Spring

Hat: Similar HERE| Top: Free People, sold out
Skirt: Old, another option HERE| Shoes: Similar HERE

Hey YOU!
I know I've been a stranger around these parts (i.e. on my blog), it seems like one thing after another came up. In the midst of life unfolding, I struggled to sit down to create content for this space (more on that to come).
However, with the first hints of SPRING staring me in the face, I find myself overflowing with excitement for warmer temperatures, and... more importantly -->WARM WEATHER FASHION!!!
Give me all the colors, print mixes, frills, lace, and feminine embellishments that I can handle PLEASE!
I snagged this crop top at a Nordstrom sale a few months back. I anticipated wearing it on a girl's trip, but alas the temperatures were too cold and I had to save it for another time. No worries, spring weather has made a few appearances here in LA 😉
Summer is still my absolute favorite season, however I'm willing to concede that spring is a very close second 😍. Are you looking forward to warmer weather as much as I am?
Until next time,
Xx

Laid Back Chic

I spotted this two-piece leopard print set online a couple of weeks ago, immediately I was totally smitten. I added it to my online shopping cart and purchased it right away --> which is a true indication that the likeability factor was HIGH 😁 You see, normally items sit in my online cart for days....and a number of them are periodically moved to my Wishlist, LOL!
When this set arrived by mail it did not disappoint, the fit was on point, it looked exactly the way that I envisioned it in my mind- clearly an added bonus.
I'm partial to the color RED forever and always, it's totally predictable that I opted to pair this ensemble with red sunnies, earrings, lip stain, and sandals😍
Until next time Babes,

Crop Status

Sunnies: HERE | Shirt & pants: c/o HERE| Necklace: HERE

Readers poll: Have you ever styled a shirt backward? I have a number of times, today's post features another such example 😆 I scored this two-piece set c/o SHEIN and although I loved how the top looked on the model, unfortunately it didn't look the same way on me 😉 Improvising is often KEY in the style game, I tried the top on backward and immediately it worked for me! BTW: You can save 20% off original priced items and your total order of $59 or more with code "inmyjoi20" ❤
Over to you Babes, what are some ways that you improvise when it comes to style?!
Until next time,

Signs of Summer

Sunnies: HERE| Top (HERE) & skirt, almost sold out, they may restock soon👀
Purse: Old| Shoes: ZARA, two seasons ago
Dear all,
The official start of summer is less than one month away. I seriously need for the weather to get with the program! I am so ready for insanely hot (no humidity please), sunny days 😍 In the meantime, I will continue to play dress-up in everything that is reminiscent of all of the glory that summer brings - i.e. today's palm print drenched coordinate set topped off with faux fur and pom poms 😏
Until next time,

Get Schooled

There is no shortage of pompom options this season (see my shoes here), and I am HERE for it all! I snagged this cutie of a baseball hat on a recent trip to Nordstrom. I was too star struck to leave it behind- I mean isn’t the yarn topper just the cutest?! It now has a forever home with me, the best style mom in the area :) I’m not really a baseball hat kinda woman (see here), I had a good time determining exactly how I wanted to style this baby in a way that is authentic to me.

While perusing my closet, I figured now was as good a time as any to debut my very first velvet piece of the year (there is more to come, I promise) – totally cannot believe we’re practically at the end of November already!! This black blazer is one of my wardrobe veteran, I’ve personally owned it for more than 10+ years plus I originally snagged it at a thrift shop. It is such a classic, well made piece, I haven’t been able to part with it – and that really is a good thing : )

Since the weather has shifted yet once again, I happily seized the moment to pile on layers underneath my velvet blazer- adding in a chambray top and striped crop top over it. This chambray top is actually from the Men’s department- I snagged it on a thrift outing because I loved the length of it and an added bonus was that it is Nordstrom brand- which is one of my personal favs. Lesson learned: Don't forget to persue the Men's section from time to time. My destroyed denim jeans are c/o of Cello jeans, I think the olive color is so on trend for Fall! Did you notice that I added in a quick print toss up by way of stripes & leopard?! You know, just for the fun of it!

Welp, that’s all from me Loves, until next time!

XO
