Today’s style story features new to me brand, JD Williams.
I was excited when they reached out to me to sample a few of their spring favorites 💕 For my very first fashion expedition JD Williams style, I opted for floral prints. Full admission: When it comes to warm weather fashion this year, I've decided to go heavy on all things floral and botanical, because, well why not?! LOL! 😍
I really liked the ease and flow of both pieces! Look no. 1 offers up a casual stroll down boho lane, while look no. 2 features an easy print toss (notice florals + stripes) perfect for an afternoon lunch date. I 💖 the feminine details served up by way of ruffles and frills.
Please do share, which featured look is your favorite?
JD Williams presents ten reasons why you should explore what they have to offer, here are three pointers that I appreciated:

  • There's something for everyone
  • Fit to flatter
  • It's in the detail

Until next time,
XO

30PlusStyle: Tutu the Curvy Woman’s Way

The day has finally arrived when I can share with you a post that I have seriously been bubbling over about!
Warning- This just may be the most picture heavy blog post that I have ever published! LOL! ;)

As announced last month, I have partnered with five gorgeous plus size bloggers for a 30+ Style Collaboration: PepperNefferth, Georgette, Jeniese, and Delilah.

For the second part of our style series, we bring you:
#30PlusStyle Tutu the Curvy Woman’s Way

This month we are showcasing how to design a look around a tutu/tulle skirt. Being the lover of vintage that I am, I incorporated elements that are authentic to my personal style.

Wearing a tulle skirt/tutu is ultra fun and feminine, and there are endless possibilities when it comes to styling it!

Check out how all of the #30PlusStyle beauties styled their tutus:

Earrings: Jessica Simpson

What I Wore: Tulle Skirt to a White Party

We attended a White Party while visiting Detroit last weekend. There has been at least one 'white' themed event each year for the past few years. Last year I wore white jeans and a crochet top, the year before that, a white shirt dress, and so on. Typical off the rack wear. When I received an invite this go round, I immediately had an image in my mind of what I wanted to wear. I wanted to be, in a word: unique. This go round the attire was specified as dressy; slightly different than events in years past. I love an excuse to dress up, so I set about looking for a retailer that sold a nice full tulle skirt. That proved to be like looking for a needle in a haystack. So, I opted for a well recommended vendor, and had the skirt custom made.
Jewelry: Nordstrom
Top: TJMaxx
Skirt: Custom made
Shoes: Kenneth Cole
Clutch: Vintage, thrifted

This was a really fun outfit to wear! We made a long night of it, and while downtown after the White Party, many folks offered their congratulations as they thought we just got married - LOL! As the night went on, I wondered if anyone would gift us with a wedding present =)
I didn't care for the way these pictures turned out, as it was an overcast evening. I added a basic filter which didn't really help...but oh well, it is what it is!
