This is my favorite time of the year Babes!!! Why? Party-wear inspired pieces ABSOLUTELY SATURATE the fashion scene, there is so much to choose from 😍😍😍 In fact, as I shared with you last year, this is the best time of year to stock up on frilly, feminine, over the top fashions! Think ahead, what summer events you plan to attend, what would you like to wear on vacation, and so on! Typically when those moments arise, you cannot find exactly what you're looking for: NOW IS THE TIME!
I kept a close eye on Atlantic Pacific's collaboration launch with Nordstrom. As soon as the items hit the site, I went in to claim this fabulously feminine tiered tulle skirt. It is a DREAM Babes! I can't wait to rock it this season, and every season for that matter! In my mind, I picture myself wearing it next summer with a cute white bralette top or halter...I can even picture it paired with RED...Come through SUMMER 2019 - I'm ready for you!!!
Until next time,
Xx

Daytime Sequins
Top: Dress worn as a shirt| Skirt: HERE| Sandals: Old| Handbag: Coach, old
Much of the globe was swept away in total enchantment of the royal wedding this past weekend! It was like watching a real-life Downton Abbey episode play out in modern day era ❤ I freely admit - I am a HUGE fan of Downton Abbey! How about YOU?! I hated when the series ended, but currently enjoy watching it on repeat via Amazon Prime ... Nonetheless, I've digressed 😏
Whose outfit did you like the best at the royal wedding? There was something for everyone: pastels, floral prints, and HATS! The hats were absolutely BEAUTIFUL! I was a bit partial to Amal Clooney's look 😁
Yes, wedding season is here, there are no shortage of options when it comes to deciding what to wear. Dress separates are available in an abundance, take for instance what I am wearing in today's post. I like to imagine that I would have loved to wear something similar to what I have on in today's post to the royal wedding (had I been invited), topping it all off with a custom made hat of course!
This tulle skirt is the epitome of feminine allure, featuring beautiful clusters of yellow sequins trimmed in green in the shape of flowers. Despite having a lining it's a bit sheer for my taste. No worries! I opted to wear a matching midi-length dress as a top 😉 I kept my accessories to a minimal, pulled my hair back in a classic ponytail, and added a bold red lip.
Until next time Babes,
Xx

Today’s style story features new to me brand, JD Williams.
I was excited when they reached out to me to sample a few of their spring favorites 💕 For my very first fashion expedition JD Williams style, I opted for floral prints. Full admission: When it comes to warm weather fashion this year, I've decided to go heavy on all things floral and botanical, because, well why not?! LOL! 😍
I really liked the ease and flow of both pieces! Look no. 1 offers up a casual stroll down boho lane, while look no. 2 features an easy print toss (notice florals + stripes) perfect for an afternoon lunch date. I 💖 the feminine details served up by way of ruffles and frills.
Please do share, which featured look is your favorite?

Midi Mania | Tulle Edition
I truly appreciate the vast plethora of glam clothing available this time of the year! Sequin, beads, jewels, and yes---TULLE! Above the knees, ballgown length, or my personal favorite--> the midi length :) The options are endless! I’m no stranger to the Tutu party (see here, here, here, and here), I almost never turn down an opportunity to go all out on feminine frills. An easy route for versatile special occasion wear is mix & match seperates.
This tutu edition is a tad more reserved than the aforementioned/linked, yet still totally suitable special occasion wear. Ilove the taupe hue of my newest addition and its satin underlay. I went for a glam effect, bumping it up a notch via an exquisitely embellished chiffon-like blouse. The fit and cut of this blouse is similiar to a traditional tunic. I opted to tuck it in which aided in pulling the entire look together. Think outside the box when shopping your wardrobe! Sidebar: This top looks equally cute worn untucked, accompanied by denim or leather or both :)
Until next time Beauties,
XO

A Side of Lemons Please
Sunnies: Betsey Johnson| Denim jacket: Michael Kors| Top: c/o Ruby Linker
Today’s style story features a funky tee from Ruby Linker, a California based brand that offers limited edition tees styled with varying shapes and proportions.
I was invited to participate in the Ruby Linker Style Challenge, and given the fact that I love a challenge- I selected this eclectic lemon print top. It actually fits like a tunic (see here), and is ideally styled with jeans- in my mind I picture skinnies or a cute boyfriend cut. However, I didn’t want to style it with jeans, because it felt…well… boring! LOL! So I opted to step outside of my styling norms and to have some fun with a look that is just as eclectic and funky as the tee itself : )
Interesting facts: Ruby Linker's unique digital designs are transferred to fabric. The company uses a state-of-the-art printing technique called dye-sublimation. This technique transfers thin sheets of color onto paper that is then heated, forcing the dye to vaporize and form a chemical bond with the cloth. The brand states that their garments are based on expressive art that could just as easily been displayed on a canvas or behind a glass frame, but instead have been created as clothing.
Until next time,
XO

For the Tulle of It
Hey Style Lovers! Today's post features yet another way that I have styled my tutu/tulle skirt. I wore this about 3 a few weeks back, and I'm already ready to wear it again! I feel tulle-licious each and every time that I wear my tulle skirt. If I had my way, I'd have more opportunities to wear tulle, as in at least once a month!
I wear what I LOVE, over and over again. I currently have one tutu (although I have aspirations of making one via the many DIY tutorials available), purchased via etsy almost two years ago. I love it's 'pouf factor', in my mind there are at least 99 ways that it could be styled (see previous looks here, here, and here).
So far I've only worn/styled it four times, so that means that I have about 95+ additional rounds to go, right?! LOL! I just might be on a mission to document each and every single look that I can come up with; Stay tuned!
The thought of tulle skirts ooze femininity in my head, as a result, each time that I've worn this one, I have targeted the feminine angle. I decided to try for 'feminine edge' this go (worn and photographed a few weeks ago), I already had most of the items that I needed on hand. Rocksbox provided the icing on my cake, as the earrings, statement necklace, and bracelet came courtesy of my membership from them. If you'd like to check out their jewelry styling service for free, visit their site, and use code InMyJoiXOXO at checkout.
So, how'd I do, is this look feminine with edge? I certainly felt edgy and feminine at the same time!

Glammed Up: Tulle Can Do No Wrong
It’s back by popular demand: Today’s post features my custom made tutu,
a.k.a tulle skirt :) I posted a #FBF picture to my Instagram account (follow me @InMyJoi) a few weeks ago and everyone loved it, so I thought why not pull out my tulle-licious beauty once again! I love wearing my favorites over and over again, my tulle skirt is no exception.
This time of year often involves events that give one extra opportunities to
glam up, I say what better way to do so than in a tulle skirt?!
Now I originally purchased this skirt for a white party, but I wondered just how much use I'd get out of it afterward. I must say, not only
was it worth purchasing, but I also found a number of uses for this pristine white beauty
all year around. (Please ignore my hair gone wild in the next picture)
If you’re thinking about ordering or perhaps making a tulle skirt but
feel somewhat hesitant, allay your fears.
Tip(s):
Look for density or extra pouf factor which will provide more coverage.
Wear a similar colored slip underneath of your skirt is unlined like mine.
When it comes to tulle, bigger is better IMO.
Tulle is very easy to clean.
I used Spray & Wash to clean my skirt:
thoroughly spray stains and place skirt in a plastic garment bag overnight. The
next day fully rinse the skirt, removing all excess water with a towel. Hang to dry. *For a skirt that is made exactly
like mine, you may also braid the strips while wet to increase the pouf factor.
When it dries unravel the braids, you will notice a crinkle effect.
Of course I vote “YAY” for tulle skirts, how about you?!

The day has finally arrived when I can share with you a post that I have seriously been bubbling over about!
Warning- This just may be the most picture heavy blog post that I have ever published! LOL! ;)
As announced last month, I have partnered with five gorgeous plus size bloggers for a 30+ Style Collaboration: Pepper, Nefferth, Georgette, Jeniese, and Delilah.
For the second part of our style series, we bring you:

Wearing a tulle skirt/tutu is ultra fun and feminine, and there are endless possibilities when it comes to styling it!
Check out how all of the #30PlusStyle beauties styled their tutus:
