BEAUTY: My First Laser Treatment

This post was sponsored by LUTRONIC . All thoughts shared are my own.

One week ago I had my very first laser treatment, c/o LUTRONIC!

Now that we have officially entered SPRING 2019, I jumped at the opportunity to treat some discoloration/pigmentation on my back, caused by a breakout a few years ago.

Lutronic Global and Renowned Dermatologist Dr. Gabriel offered me the LaseMD Experience - Its latest innovation allows physicians to offer non-ablative skin resurfacing, regardless of skin type or age with no downtime. It works by creating microchannels with minimal disruption to the stratum cornium while leaving bridges of untouched tissue for improved permeability, fast healing and reduced downtimes.

The LaseMD experience included:
Numbing cream
Laser treatment
Serum ampoule to take home – composed of nano liposome technology, no artificial chemicals, no artificial fragrance, preservative free
Calming LaseMD Bio Cellulose Cream Mask – The specially formulated two-layer mask helps to cool and calm the skin.

I was pleasantly surprised by my experience Babes! IUpon arrival I was greeted by a red carpet entrance, hors d'oeuvres, and bottomless mimosas 😍I also had an opportunity to chat with the staff, discuss what I hoped the treatment would accomplish, and to ask a number of questions. Before receiving the treatment, numbing cream was applied to my back, about 15 minutes was allotted to make sure that the medication took effect. I don't know why, but in my head, I imagined that the laser would be applied from a distance, like over head-LOL! In actuality, it was applied directly to my skin with a small wand. It felt very warm, almost like a semi-hot iron. There was no pain, only a warm sensation. The entire treatment took less than 30 minutes. After my treatment ended, I was able to get dressed with ease and to leave. Later in the evening, I could feel the numbing treatment wearing off. However, I did not have any pain. I simply felt a warm sensation.
Note: To truly treat pigmentation, 2-3 treatments are encouraged.

Happy 1st day of SPRING Babes!!!! Bright colors are made for sunny days, I took this orange beauty out for a spin last week, paired with cobalt blue and white.  This dress is such a delightfully bright hue, it's made from lightweight cotton. When you put it on, it adds an instant 'happiness factor'. I have no doubt that I will carry it right on over to summer w/o incident 😍

Now that SPRING-like temperatures have finally made an appearance, I am thrilled to bask in the sun in LIVING COLOR!!! How many times have I shared here that RED is my favorite color? Well, I'll share it again for special emphasis: RED IS MY FAVORITE COLOR!!!
When I spotted this jumpsuit, I knew it was a must-have for my spring wardrobe! The color and the fit of it is LIFE! Did you notice the tie detailing on the sleeves? Or the peek-a-boo features in the back?! I am so infatuated with this jumpsuit, with my body in it, and my new haircut! 😉
What is one of your spring must-have items?

The Boiler Suit

A boiler suit is defined as 'a one-piece protective garment worn for heavy manual work; coveralls'.
The fashion industry has become obsessed with this workwear piece, designers have done a fab job in making it fashionable as well as practical.
Similar to a jumpsuit, it's a piece that does all the werk, effortlessly. Think of days when you want a "look", but don't necessarily feel like putting any real effort into getting dressed. Roll out with a boiler suit!
This was my first time trying one out, I love its color & satin finish. I opted to style it up/dressy, however, I can equally see this dressed down and styled down/casually with a denim jacket & platform boots.
Over to you: Are you into boiler suits or other utilitarian takes on it?
Until next time,

Dark Matter

PHOTOGRAPHY BY A. ROBINSON
TGIF Babes!!! Today's look features an all-black ensemble ❤
This jumpsuit is perfect for a night on the town, and can equally be styled casually for a day of errands and shopping! I wore it with a pair of black mules and hit the streets! It was super easy to take on and off as I tried on clothes from store to store- I'd say that's an added bonus 😀

Spring Forward

Spring is officially ONE WEEK AWAY Babes, I could not be more excited! I am so over the cold, blustery, wet weather of WINTER 2018/2019 👀 How about you?! Did you survive the VORTEX??
When it comes to shifting seasons, sometimes there is the concept that certain prints and or fabrics have to be left behind. I totally DISAGREE! As an example, camouflage prints are often associated with cool weather. However, since I'm a new-ish fan of the print - I will be rocking it throughout the spring and more than likely the summer as well 😏
I updated this pair of joggers from winter to spring by adding a sleeveless top, a pop of color, and pumps. For summer I can totally see them styled with a crop top, tank top, and open toe shoes 😍
Over to you, how do you plan to transition some of your cool weather pieces?
Until next time,
Xx
