With the cooler months of fall just over the horizon, we start to think about what we'd like transitional wear to look like. Layering is a classic staple for fall weather, even here in SoCal. Fall days are often sunny and mild, but the evenings can be starkly cool in comparison.
I opted to turn a pair of cutoff summer shorts into optimal transitional wear by layering them on top of a full-body catsuit. I LOVE how this look came together! It would be ideal for date night, or a girl's night out. For even cooler temperatures, I would add additional layers in the form of a cropped jacket, perhaps a cute scarf, plus statement booties π
Over to you, how do you like to style transitional clothing?
Until next time,

Hey Loves,
In a recent closet dive, I came across this summery two-piece lemon print set that I don't wear nearly enough π² The crop top is accompanied by a midi-length skirt, both have amazing ease of wear. Although this set sold out rather quickly, I've linked a comparable skirt above.
Fruity prints are the epitome of summer fashion, I wish that this set also came in peach and pineapple π

Hey Babes,
How are things going for you? We've been in a near record-breaking heatwave for the past week. Not only are the temperatures on the high end, we're also getting a rare dose of seemingly intense humidity which feels like πππ
According to current forecasts, we will finish off the month on a high note. Summer is historically my favorite season, but this intensity has me dreaming of fall days, LOL!
Today's look features two shade cousins, red + orange. This is a slightly different palette approach to my main steady, monochrome. I love how well these two hues bounce off of each other! This encourages me to pair them together more often in the future, preferably under cooler temps π
Until next time,
Xx

As we wind down the month of August, I found myself in the realization that fall weather/fashion is just over the horizon. While out & about the other day, it seemed like the sunset was super early (before 8p) - then I realized that the days are indeed getting shorter π΅Yes my friends, the signs of fall are making an appearance right now.
When it comes to fall fashion, I love the idea and practicability of blazer dresses. The one pictured in today's blog post boasts a bold color, tailored cut, double front functional button placket closure, front welt flap pockets, and a full lining.
Over to you, how do you feel about blazer dresses?

RED is my favorite color of all time. The sight of it always serves as an instant mood booster. It is a reminder to appreciate the little things deeply, even something as simple as saturated color. Reminders like this feel more helpful now than ever.
As I look out at the uncertainty of the world scene, I feel compelled to do what I personally can to effect positive, lasting change. I feel encouraged to lean into hope, to repeatedly set an intention to lead with love.
Until next time,

As days blend into weeks, weeks blend into seemingly nameless months - I find that creating space for things that bring me a measure of joy to be especially worthwhile. Crafting my personal sense of style has always been a creative outlet for me, a tool of self-expression. Even in the midst of a whirling international crisis, a pandemic of indescribable proportions, a fragile political landscape - I lean into what I know to be true: Love. Joy. Peace. Patience. Kindness. Goodness. Faith. Mildness. Self-Control.
Sending love & positive energy your way ❤

Another dive in my closet revealed yet another top with tags intact that I've never worn π I scored this shirt last year during summer (gifted),however because of its long sleeves it was pushed to the back of my closet. I love the cold shoulder detailing, along with the top foldover design. However, the midriff cut and faux pullover feature confused me then and now π
To be fair, I wanted to style it at least one time to determine whether or not it is indeed a keeper, of if I will add it to my donate stack.
I thought it was a perfect match for my go-to skinny jeans, I added in mustard accessories by way of a jeweled headband and sandals and hit the door. All in all I was pleased with how this look came together! Nonetheless, I am still leaning towards donating this top...LOL!

Today's post features another goodie from my closet, a pink sweater that I found with the price tags still intact π² I think I purchased it 3-4 years ago, but it could be older. It's such a classic piece - I had no doubt that it would earn its place in my wardrobe over time. I love the saturated pink hue and the indescribably soft material that it is made of. This cashmere, but not quite...
For its grand debut, I decided to take it for a spin in monochrome, pairing it with complementary shades of pink π
The skirt and shoes are actually newer acquisitions, however unfortunately they are sold out. I look forward to styling each of these pieces again!
Until next time,
Xx
Today’s look features a closet remix + a print tossup by way of black & white. With uncertain times becoming a new norm paired with an economy that seems to be plummeting towards rock bottom--> shopping your closet is not only safe but smart. I’ve made a commitment to be more intentional about what I purchase. I am challenging myself to look at pieces in my wardrobe in a new, fresh way. This look came together fueled by a desire to style this pair of satin mules and my eternal love for black & white style duos. Print mixing can feel intimidating, a simple way to start is by sticking with two or three colors. Check out previous black & white looks I’ve blogged HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, and HERE.
Until next time Babes,

What's red and comes in a size range from small to 5X? This two-piece coordinates set! I fell for the frilly details on the crop top (size up if you prefer a longer fit like what is pictured here), paired with the maximum effect multi-tiered skirt πIf this were a regular summer, say one where an infectious disease was not an imminent threat - I'd happily wear this look for Weekend Brunch or Happy Hour!
However, in an effort to make the best of current circumstances, instead I opted to wear this set on a brief mall run, along with a face mask that didn't match and flat shoes π California is pretty much still on lockdown, we had a surge in COVID-19 cases for several weeks straight. The latest news reports indicate that the surge appears to be leveling out - however that can change at any time. How are things in your corner of the world?
Be safe Babes!!!
Until next time,
