Happy SEPTEMBER!!! It is undisputed that this has been a year for the record books in almost every single way imaginable. However, amongst everything that has/is transpiring - time still feels like it is moving rapidly. We have now entered the final four months of 2020!!! I find myself wondering - where does the time go?! Beyond that, I find myself in a space of personal reflection. This is my birth month, just as I have in years prior, I am reexamining my footing in the world.
Questions that I am actively asking myself include: Am I living my purpose? What am I learning from my life experiences? What would I like to accomplish moving forward?  Am I living with intention? What are some areas that I would like to improve in?
There are more questions than there are answers! Nonetheless, one thing is for certain: I am thankful to see another day!
Until next time,
Xx

Summer Snaps

Earrings: HERE| Top & skirt: Old, check out another option HERE| Sandals: HERE
Photography by A. Robinson

Hey Loves,
In a recent closet dive, I came across this summery two-piece lemon print set that I don't wear nearly enough 😲 The crop top is accompanied by a midi-length skirt, both have amazing ease of wear. Although this set sold out rather quickly, I've linked a comparable skirt above.
Fruity prints are the epitome of summer fashion, I wish that this set also came in peach and pineapple πŸ˜‰

A Very Berry Blazer Dress

Blazer dress: HERE, similar option HERE| Sunnies: Vince Camuto, old
Earrings: Nordstrom, old - similar style HERE| Shoes: Jessica Simpson, another option HERE
Photography by A. Robinson

As we wind down the month of August, I found myself in the realization that fall weather/fashion is just over the horizon. While out & about the other day, it seemed like the sunset was super early (before 8p) - then I realized that the days are indeed getting shorter 😡Yes my friends, the signs of fall are making an appearance right now.
When it comes to fall fashion, I love the idea and practicability of blazer dresses. The one pictured in today's blog post boasts a bold color, tailored cut, double front functional button placket closure, front welt flap pockets, and a full lining.
Over to you, how do you feel about blazer dresses?
Until next time,

Today’s look features a closet remix + a print tossup by way of black & white. With uncertain times becoming a new norm paired with an economy that seems to be plummeting towards rock bottom--> shopping your closet is not only safe but smart. I’ve made a commitment to be more intentional about what I purchase. I am challenging myself to look at pieces in my wardrobe in a new, fresh way. This look came together fueled by a desire to style this pair of satin mules and my eternal love for black & white style duos. Print mixing can feel intimidating, a simple way to start is by sticking with two or three colors. Check out previous black & white looks I’ve blogged HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, and HERE.

Until next time Babes,

Sleeve Patrol

earrings: Free People (these are super cute too)| dress: c/o HERE| suede pumps: DSW

It's no secret that I l❤ve an off the shoulder number (see HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE and HERE just for starters), the fact that this festive dress is adorned with colorful stripes and fabulous statement sleeves makes it all the better. I consider it perfect for a cocktail themed event and or a night out on the town.
Initially, I planned to style it with black sandals... but at the last minute I decided to play up the turquoise colored stripes by adding in matching statement earrings (that I've never worn) and a classic suede pump.
I totally love how this look came together, I'm looking forward to wearing this fit out on the town πŸ˜‰

Straight Flush

Earrings: TJMAXX| Top: ZARA| Skirt: HERE| Purse: ZARA

If there's one thing that I never tire of, it's a full on monochrome look😌 What else can I say, I like it when good things come together! This look features two items purchased at ZARA. I snagged one from last year's Summer Sale (for $9.99) and another is now on sale at this year's Summer Sale ($25.99). Can you guess which is which? ZARA has two sales a year, I try not to miss either one of them. There are so many fantastic deals to be had, and the prices continue to drop week after week until everything has been sold. I guess you know where to find me this evening...LOL!
Until next time Babes,

Beach Please | Part 3

Sunnies: Old| Romper: c/o HERE| Sandals: Nordstrom, old| Clutch: Vintage

TGIF Babes!!! Today's post is my final installment of my blog series surrounding my recent day at the beach. Check out the swimsuits that I wore in part one HERE, and part two HERE.
An ideal, easy to wear beach piece is a romper. Oftentimes we opt for a dress, but really a romper is just as practical. It's super easy to take on and off, and makes for a perfect cover-up over a dry swimsuit. I wore this romper to the beach, and to an oceanside dinner after the beach 😍
Sidebar: I also shared another instance of wearing a romper to/from the beach when I was in Tulum a few months ago on Instagram HERE . If you aren't following me on IG yet, please do! I often share additional looks there, along with snippets on my stories from travel, shopping excursions/deals/steals, and blogger events here in LA ... take for instance yesterday😏
Back to today's post: I noticed something very interesting while at the beach. A majority of the people there were busy trying to capture the moment, or should I say attempting to capture the beauty of beach, but very few were actually sitting back, being still, and truly taking in all of its magnificence. In fact, we were hard pressed to find places to shoot my swimsuits and this romper as practically every single inch of the beach was occupied, with other people taking pictures (some professional photographers) or on professional photo shoots.
It made me think about the hard balance that I try to strike as a blogger --> knowing what I want to capture versus what I want to enjoy. I made a promise that I would return to this beach soon - on another nice day, with no cameras, and really make an effort to truly take it all in, in real time. You see, I believe that there are a multitude of wonderful moments in life that aren't absorbed as they should be, because instead of fully experiencing them in real time, to the fullest extent possible, we try to capture those moments for a future memory, usually in digital form. However I have learned that the best time to fully experience any given moment is now, while you are in the grip of it ❤ The memories that a genuine moment creates, these last for a lifetime.
For instance, during our hike back up the cliff towards the car, we stopped on a landing of sorts for a breather. While there, we took a moment to look out over the ocean, and at all of the beauty that surrounded it.
It was a PERFECT day. The clouds danced beautifully across the sky, the ocean tide rolled in and out with a rhythm of its own, and just beyond the shore - there was an otter or sea lion family. We couldn't tell which one because of the distance, but the one who we assumed was mom was quite massive in size, she stayed further out to sea. All six babies, well they swam and played all the way up to the shore, unbeknownst to probably all of the beach goers. We watched them for about 15 minutes. It was wonderful to see. I did not try to take out my phone or camera to capture them playing.
This was something best experienced in the moment.
Until next time,
XO

Free Flowing

Sunnies: HERE| Earrings: HERE| Halter top: Old| Pants: c/o YOURS Clothing| Slides: Dolce Vita, sold out

I was reminded of my adoration for palazzo pants a few months ago when I spotted a fantastic pair in lemon print online (blogged HERE). Shortly thereafter I came across  another pair in basic black, I knew that I needed to add them to my collection pronto. When they arrived in the mail I initially thought I might have to have the length altered. Imagine my surprise and elation when I tried them on - the fit AND the length was a perfect match for my body 😍 Despite their dark hue, the pants are wonderfully light weight. I was cool and comfortable (and feeling very cute πŸ˜‰) on a day where temperatures soared up to 85 degrees.
For their grand debut out, I paired them with a knit, mustard colored halter top, along with tropical print fabric slides. Next time around I'm already planning to pair them with a black OTS bodysuit... Thank you to YOURS Clothing for another delightful find ❤
My one style wish: That these pants were designed with pockets.
Until next time Babes,

Boho by Day

Sunnies: ALDO| Earrings: ZARA, old| Dress: MARSHALLS| Slides: ZARA, old| Handbag: Kate Spade, similar HERE + another cute option HERE

This weekend officially kicks off the start of Festival Season, I'm totally prepared to see bohemian style goodness in an abundance.
While on my regular weekly stop at Marshalls, I spotted this white cotton dress with beautiful embroidery in the Juniors area. That's right, it was in the Juniors section! Have you ever shopped for yourself in the Juniors section of a store? I know I can't be alone 😊
I often peruse it when I am specifically looking for trendy styles versus classic attire. Another bonus is that the prices points are usually considerably lower, for example this dress was only $15!
I knew w/o trying it on that the fit would be just as I envisioned. For an afternoon out and about, I paired it with orange fringe earrings, a white tote, and blue bow embellished slides. I love that this look has a boho vibe, but isn't quite over the top enough to be considered true festival attire 😁
Until next time Loves,
Xx

All Colors

Earrings: HERE| Top: HERE| Shorts: HERE| Shoes: HERE

Sometimes throwing a bunch of colors together just works. Take for instance, what i'm wearing in this blog post 😁 I spy white, red, green, yellow, pink, and blue! Not to mention the colors in my backdrop...
This ensemble screams SUMMERTIME to me - probably because that is exactly what I am screaming in my head πŸ˜†
It is 90+ degrees in LA today, I am LOVING every single bit of it!!!
Until next time,
Xx
