Spring Dress Picks with LOFT

Dress: c/o HERE | Sandals: Similar HERE
Photography by A. Robinson

Happy HUMP Day Loves! Today's style story is all about dresses, featuring a few of my top spring picks from LOFT. The dress featured above highlights one of my favorite colors to rock in warmer weather. It has gorgeous eyelet detailing with flutter sleeves. I styled it with a matching belt + yellow gingham sandals. This style is perfect for spring & summer temperatures as it is lightweight, 100% cotton, AND machine washable! The fit is relaxed and slightly oversized.
NOTE: If you prefer a closer fit, sizing down is a good idea. Did I mention that the Henley Ruffle is currently on sale for 50% off?!

Here are a few other dress options that are also currently on sale for 50% off at LOFT:

Spring Style Options from Karen Kane

Outfit #1 (Navy dress)--> Velvet hat: Vintage| Earrings: Similar HERE| Dress: c/o HERE| Bag: ZARA| Shoes: ZARA, another option HERE
Outfit #2 (Floral kimono)-->Hat: Old,try HERE| Kimono: c/o HERE| Black dress: Old, longer option HERE| Shoes: Old, similar HERE

When the team at Karen Kane reached out to me to work together on a feature with their spring content, I seized the opportunity! If you're not familiar with the brand, you can find their designs at major retailers such as Nordstrom, Bloomingdale's, Lord & Taylor, and Macy's. I would describe the brand's style aesthetic as a classic. They offer classic designs that are ideal for workwear, along with casual separates.
Today's blog post features how I styled two items from their spring lineup, specifically with the mindset of day to night wear. Without further ado, let’s get into the details!
For Look #1 I selected a navy tie-waist maxi dress styled with a surplice V-neck and stem-showing front slit. This dress is ideal for the office, however easily transcends into night wear with a few select accessories 😉
For Look # 2, I selected a floral kimono with textural interest. We don’t often think of dark floral prints for spring fashion, but the light, airy feel and fabric of this one makes this an ideal option. I topped it over a tank style LBD (little black dress) plus added in black accessories to highlight the beautiful floral detail.

Which look is your personal favorite?

Here are a few additional spring style options from the brand that caught my eye:

Cheetah print top
Leopard print blazer
Cheetah print jumpsuit

Until next time Babes!

Currently Coveting Spring

Hat: Similar HERE| Top: Free People, sold out
Skirt: Old, another option HERE| Shoes: Similar HERE

Hey YOU!
I know I've been a stranger around these parts (i.e. on my blog), it seems like one thing after another came up. In the midst of life unfolding, I struggled to sit down to create content for this space (more on that to come).
However, with the first hints of SPRING staring me in the face, I find myself overflowing with excitement for warmer temperatures, and... more importantly -->WARM WEATHER FASHION!!!
Give me all the colors, print mixes, frills, lace, and feminine embellishments that I can handle PLEASE!
I snagged this crop top at a Nordstrom sale a few months back. I anticipated wearing it on a girl's trip, but alas the temperatures were too cold and I had to save it for another time. No worries, spring weather has made a few appearances here in LA 😉
Summer is still my absolute favorite season, however I'm willing to concede that spring is a very close second 😍. Are you looking forward to warmer weather as much as I am?
Until next time,
Xx

Happy 1st day of SPRING Babes!!!! Bright colors are made for sunny days, I took this orange beauty out for a spin last week, paired with cobalt blue and white.  This dress is such a delightfully bright hue, it's made from lightweight cotton. When you put it on, it adds an instant 'happiness factor'. I have no doubt that I will carry it right on over to summer w/o incident 😍
Until next time,

Spring Forward

Spring is officially ONE WEEK AWAY Babes, I could not be more excited! I am so over the cold, blustery, wet weather of WINTER 2018/2019 👀 How about you?! Did you survive the VORTEX??
When it comes to shifting seasons, sometimes there is the concept that certain prints and or fabrics have to be left behind. I totally DISAGREE! As an example, camouflage prints are often associated with cool weather. However, since I'm a new-ish fan of the print - I will be rocking it throughout the spring and more than likely the summer as well 😏
I updated this pair of joggers from winter to spring by adding a sleeveless top, a pop of color, and pumps. For summer I can totally see them styled with a crop top, tank top, and open toe shoes 😍
Over to you, how do you plan to transition some of your cool weather pieces?
Until next time,
Xx

Denim Lovers, featuring LANE BRYANT

Poplin Wrap Top: c/o HERE
Super Soft Super Stretch Skinny Jean - Ruffle Hem: c/o HERE

This post is sponsored by Lane Bryant. All opinions shared belong solely to me.

Hey Babes! How are you surviving WINTER 2019?! It's been raining for what feels like forever in my neck of the woods. Don't get me wrong, rainy weather serves a benefit, however Los Angeles simply is not built for rain! 😩 I had to dodge raindrops to get a few shots in this look over the weekend. Thankfully, the rain offered a  brief reprieve - we made the best of it ❤
Today's post features a denim loving look c/o my friends at Lane Bryant. The Poplin Wrap Top is soft/subtle gingham print, it appealed to me because I am beyond ready for SPRING! Gingham makes me think of warmer days. In my opinion, it is never too early to pull in gingham prints, even under layers if need be 😏 We have to wish warmer weather into existence, right?! When the weather warms up, I can totally see myself wearing this top on repeat! For its initial debut I paired it with fun Stretch Skinny Jeans that are embellished with a raw-cut cascading ruffle hem. The ruffle hem adds in just a touch of feminity - I LOVE feminine details! Small details can really take an item up a notch and add in an additional wearability factor😉Do you love feminine touches?!
BIG NEWS:
Lane Bryant is hosting The Denim Event this Saturday (2/9/19)!!! I'll be in attendance for the event at Westfield Culver City!!! Are you planning to stop by? You should! You can score 40% off all denim, get a free panty w/ any denim  purchase, and enter to win giveaways 😍

Until next time,
Xx

Summer Over Spring

Hat: HERE| Earrings: Old, Baublebar| Top: HERE| Palazzo pants: HERE| Purse: Zara, old| Red mules: Old, TopShop - another cute pair HERE

It's officially SPRING Babes!!! YAY, warmer temperatures are finally on the horizon...somewhere...somehow...or are they?! LOL! To be honest, if I could choose, I'd skip right on past spring and dive straight into summer 👀 Good thing I live in a town that usually has only two seasons right? Funny thing is, I can actually remember (just a few years ago) missing the experience of having four full seasons each year. Afterall, I lived 20+ years with spring, summer, fall, and extreme WINTERS 😰But now, from where I stand, I'll take summer all year long 😍 I learned time and time again - you really can adapt to anything, including dreamy weather 24/7!
Over to you, what's your favorite season?
Until next time,
Xx
