No Sleeves Attached

Flower crown: I made it| Bra: ELOMI, HERE & HERE + matching briefs HERE
Dress: HERE + similar HERE & I LOVE THIS| Handbag: Coach, another option HERE

While I was in Chicago a few months ago, I had the privilege of meeting with the local team that represents Elomi Lingerie. Little did I know that meeting would be life altering!
First off, I was custom fitted for a bra by a very experienced Fit Specialist. Her name is Suzanne, and she is an EXPERT in her field. If you're shopping on the Magnificent Mile, pop in and see her at Nordstrom! I learned so much during my time with her! Not only was I wearing the wrong size bra, I was also putting on my bras incorrectly. Who knew?! I walked away from that visit with the Elomi Sachi bra (worn in today's post) in tote, as well as an EXCELLENT strapless bra, the Freya Idol Allure .
Note: Freya & Elomi are owned by Wacoal Europe.
I was so impressed with my new strapless bra that I wore it right on out of the store, and tossed the bra that I was wearing initially! Once I returned back to California, I immediately set about getting rid of all of my ill fitting bras.
Literally, like on my first day home...
Next, I created a wishlist of Elomi bras that I wanted to add to my personal inventory๐Ÿ˜ They have so many gorgeous designs and the fit is on point! As it happened, the brand representative reached back out to me again shortly thereafter - I immediately ordered the following matching sets:

Ladies, once you experience the V A L U E of exceptional support trimmed in STYLE- you never look back! I am loving the fit that Elomi offers me and my girls, particularly as a full figured woman๐Ÿ‘€
My posture is improved, my clothing fits better, and I even feel more confident - especially in my strapless bra ๐Ÿ˜‰ There is no pulling, tugging, and or readjusting required - no matter how long I wear it! I never knew such a thing was even possible!
I am proud to say that I no longer own any ill-fitting bras๐Ÿ‘ GOOD RIDDANCE!
Since then I have added a few more to my stash, in fact, my entire collection now consists solely of Elomi bras and I have absolutely NO regrets!
The bra featured in today's post was made for plunging necklines - I ❤ how their designs serve multiple purposes ๐Ÿ’ฃI have an idea -let's info share: What is your favorite bra line and why?
Until next time,
Xx

Straight Flush

Earrings: TJMAXX| Top: ZARA| Skirt: HERE| Purse: ZARA

If there's one thing that I never tire of, it's a full on monochrome look๐Ÿ˜Œ What else can I say, I like it when good things come together! This look features two items purchased at ZARA. I snagged one from last year's Summer Sale (for $9.99) and another is now on sale at this year's Summer Sale ($25.99). Can you guess which is which? ZARA has two sales a year, I try not to miss either one of them. There are so many fantastic deals to be had, and the prices continue to drop week after week until everything has been sold. I guess you know where to find me this evening...LOL!
Until next time Babes,

Summer Office Days

Sunnies: Similar HERE| Dress: c/o HERE (sign up for free trial membership) --> another option HERE
Clutch: ZARA| Shoes: Nordstrom, similar HERE & HERE

Speaking of summer, because today is officially the first day of SUMMER here in the States - what are a few of your favorite things to wear to the office? Summer is my favorite season! For office gear, I opt for lightweight dresses, fun bright colored jumpsuits, shorts (office appropriate of course), and flowing pants. I prefer pieces made of cotton, linen, and high quality fine rayon. Although I love the look of silk, it can be quite hot when temperatures are soaring.
The dress in today's post is ideal for a typical summer day at the office. It is made of cotton, lightly lined, heavily saturated with color, and boasts fully functional pockets - L๐Ÿ’›VE! I snagged it via my Gwynnie Bee membership. I am loving the colorful pieces they have released thus far this year!
If you are not familiar with GB, catch up on the buzz HERE + learn how you can snag a free trial membership
I usually like to style yellow items with other bold colors. For this look, I went with orange, pulling it in throughout the look with ombre earrings, a bold lip, a statement clutch, and slingback heels.
Until next time,
Xx

Spring Fling

Dress: Chelsea28, other options HERE, HERE, and HERE| Sunnies: HERE
Earrings: ZARA| Handbag: ZARA| Pink sandals: Enzo Angiolini, similar HERE

With all this talk about summer, it can be hard to remember that we are technically still in spring ๐Ÿ˜Š
At least for the next day or so...
I was reading an article a day or so ago, the writer used the phrase, "we've been saying ___ all summer". I immediately thought to myself, 'all summer? It isn't summer yet'- LOL! Now I have absolutely no right to serve as a critic - in fact, I myself said a few posts ago that I would rather skip over spring entirely and dive head first into summer๐ŸŒ
Summer is hands down my absolute favorite season!!! Nonetheless, I think it's important to highlight a few of the fashionable benefits that spring weather offers:
1- You can dress for every seasons during the same week
2- It's a perfect time to trial run all of your upcoming summer favs
3- Trendy items like off the shoulders pieces come out of storage and go into regular rotation
4- If you do have to wear a coat, it doesn't have to actually be warm
5- It's a perfect season to practice and master the art of layering
Did I miss anything? Let me know in the comments ๐Ÿ˜˜
Until next time Babes,

Flower Power

Dress: c/o Gwynnie Bee --> Purchase HERE or borrow via Gwynnie Bee HERE
Earrings: Kate Spade, sold out| Purse: Free People, sold out| Pink sandals: HERE

I can't say seem to say no to beautiful floral prints, the dress featured in today's post is no exception. It's by a brand that I've shopped for nearly 2 decades, Elie Tahari. In the 90s/early 2000s it was a no-brainer, go to brand, for fantastic power suits. In fact, I had at least 15, acquired from my first love retailer, Lord & Taylor.
Over time, the brand has continued to evolve and expand, now offering a variety of beautiful dresses, on trend accessories, fabulous shoes, and even home goods. I'm a definite fan!
What are some brands that you have appreciated over the years?
Until next time,

The High and Low

Dress: c/o HERE (sign up for a free trial membership)
Purse: Coach, vintage| Sandals: Sold out

Hey Babes! I can't tell you how many times I've tried to sit down and type up a new post...
No matter what I did - I just could not focus.
First of all, my first week back into my norm after vacation has been extremely busy. E X T R E M E L Y. Secondly, I've been in a bit of a funk. Just blah. And blue. And sad. Last but not least, I experienced a touch of  writer's block, like everything that I tried to put down on paper couldn't/wouldn't come together the way that I envisioned.
Alas,  the weekend has arrived! I'm enjoying a spell of peace and quiet...although my furbaby Cotton Candy is subtly harassing me at this very moment ๐Ÿ˜Š
I can think clearly and uninterrupted, finally I am able to start pushing out posts again - YAY!
The dress featured in today's post is c/o my Gwynnie Bee membership. I really enjoy the ease of not being committed to purchase anything, especially trendy pieces like this dress. If you're not familiar with Gwynnie Bee's retail subscription service, check out another post I wrote HERE
In short, you can have a endless wardrobe, never wearing the same outfit twice, plan pricing is based on how many items you choose to have out at a given time, and they offer styles in sizes 0-32. WHOO HOO!
While perusing new items, I took note of this dress because I liked the high low hem, and was somewhat intrigued by the unique color compilation used to make up the stripe pattern. When it arrived in the mail, and I actually saw it in person, I wasn't sure if I liked it. I decided to give it a spin out for a day at the office. This is the place where I practically trial run everything! The final verdict, what I liked:
*The soft material
*The ease of wear
*The high low hem - Notice how it flows in the wind? LOL!
Sidebar: A underrepresented benefit of high low dresses is that they offer the perfect balance to a full on maxi dress or a full on midi dress. If you don't like maxi dresses per se, or perhaps midi length dress - why not try out a high low?
Until next time,
Xx

Summer Whites

Scarf: Nordstrom| White sunnies: Old, designer pair HERE| Statement earrings: Bauble Bar, old
White dress: Eliza J., old - other options HERE & HEREWhite leather slides: Halogen, old - another option HERE
Straw clutch: Vintage, thrifted

Hey Babes!
I'm happy to report that I've finally made it safely back to the States after a series of unexpected events on the route home from Costa Rica ๐Ÿ˜ฅMore to come on that later...
One of the things that I had on my to-do list was to go through my wardrobe and pull out items to donate/give away this month. I try to do this at least every other month, as my closet is housed in a limited space (I live in a loft), and it is necessary to prune what items I retain from working with brands. Add to that a healthy habit of retail therapy, and well - you get the picture๐Ÿ˜Š Doing this regularly also affords me the opportunity to identify previously purchased items that I may have forgotten about and or don't get their fair share in the spotlight. Today's post features one such item, a beautiful white dress (by Eliza J.) with laser cut lace overlay. I snagged it from Nordstrom last summer, on sale. I've worn it a couple of times, but not nearly enough. That will change this summer ๐Ÿ˜‰ For an afternoon out, I decided to pair it with white accessories and a rattan purse that I often convert into a clutch. Because I always NEED at least one pop of color, I swiped on a new favorite pink lip stain along with pink statement hoops.
I'm looking forward to styling this dress next with black!
Until next time,
Xx

Connect the Dots

Hat: HERE| Earrings: Similar HERE| Romper: c/o HERE| Sandals: Via Spiga, old

Happy Fri-Yay!!! Today's post features a polka dot romper that I brought along with me on vacationBabes, this romper is ideal for travel. Not only is it easy to pack- I rolled it up compactly and tucked it in my suitcase- there was not a wrinkle to be found when I unpacked it! It oozes vintage vibes, is wonderfully lightweight (plus cool to wear in humid weather), and offers a touch of class. I love classy pieces! I also ❤ that it can easily be dressed up or down. I even wore it while horseback riding (more pictures on Instagram)!
I'm enjoying my time here in Costa Rica, but am now ready to get back to the USA ๐Ÿ˜
Until next time,

June Bug

Earrings: HERE| Dress: c/o HERE & HERE| Straw bag: ZARA

Chapter 6 of 12 has begun Babes, can you believe we're halfway through 2018 already?! Time waits for no one!
I'm currently sitting on the veranda of my cliffside casita watching the clouds dance over the mountains ๐Ÿ˜ I'm on vacation!!! I wrapped up the end of May and kicked off the beginning of June in another country. See more of what I'm up to in my Instagram stories๐Ÿ˜Š
About this look: I've been infatuated with all things tassel embellished for let's see...um, at least two years now. When I spotted this maxi dress not only decked in a soft stripe pattern (perfect for summer), but also trimmed in fabulous tassels- well, as they say- the rest is history.
I'd love to stay and chat, but I really must get back to enjoying my trip! There's a hummingbird playing to my right, three horses frolicking ahead over the mountain, and I have a spa appointment in less than an hour๐Ÿ˜
Until next time,
Xx
