Let's Reflect

Blazer: HERE | LBD: Old, similar HERE| Thigh high boots: Charles David, similar HERE

When you find a combination that works well for you, wear it on REPEAT - shamelessly! Case in point: I recently had the idea of layering an LBD (little black dress) with a long leopard print tunic (see HERE). From that outfit sprang another idea: Pair an LBD with a long blazer! And just like that, with minimal effort, and absolutely no additional purchase(s) ---> I had a new outfit to love 😍
Time to share, what style combinations do you LOVE? Do you find yourself wearing them repeatedly?!
Until next time,
Xx

Flower Power

Dress: c/o Gwynnie Bee --> Purchase HERE or borrow via Gwynnie Bee HERE
Earrings: Kate Spade, sold out| Purse: Free People, sold out| Pink sandals: HERE

I can't say seem to say no to beautiful floral prints, the dress featured in today's post is no exception. It's by a brand that I've shopped for nearly 2 decades, Elie Tahari. In the 90s/early 2000s it was a no-brainer, go to brand, for fantastic power suits. In fact, I had at least 15, acquired from my first love retailer, Lord & Taylor.
Over time, the brand has continued to evolve and expand, now offering a variety of beautiful dresses, on trend accessories, fabulous shoes, and even home goods. I'm a definite fan!
What are some brands that you have appreciated over the years?

Extra Sprinkles Please

Sunnies: c/o HERE| Earrings: Similar HERE| Off shoulder top: HERE| Taffeta ballroom skirt: HERE| Clutch: Vintage, thrifted

I've snagged a number of goodies over the past month or so by way of the summer sales that have been stalking my inbox.
Full admission: I completely lacked the desire to try to avoid opening the flood of emails that I received containing spectacular summer sales. SIGH.
Yes, in true shopaholic form, I eagerly opened every  s i n g l e  sale mailer, and then I frantically scrolled through selection after selection only to obtain a few items to add to an already overflowing wardrobe...
And guess what? I HAVE NO REGRETS πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ My top & skirt were both snagged for $20 each!!!!
Ok, ok, I am being a bit sarcastic 😏 I do have control over myself and what I purchase. In fact, I am quite structured and intentional.
I look forward to annual summer sales to obtain items at a great discount, prep for upcoming travel, and to prep for the next  summer.
Am I alone in my strategy? How do you feel about summer sales?!
Until next time,
Xx

A Color Story

I find inspiration in practically every facet of my life. One day while perusing a home dΓ©cor site I came across a glorious color combination. Immediately I was taken by it, and I thought of how I might be able to play it out in real life, not in my dΓ©cor- but in my wardrobe- LOL! Yes this duo of pastel pink and rich green was love at first site! I saved it to my ‘to-do’ list on Pinterest to be executed as soon as possible.

As it just so happened, my friends over at The Perfect Pair Boutique sent me this dreamy top – serious pastel pink perfection.  I was so excited because shortly after receiving it I had the realization that the acquisition of this top meant that I was  finally going to have the opportunity to play out my color adventure in real life 😊

Since this top is over-sized, I opted to style it with a pencil skirt- as a balancing act, but I’m also considering this pair of pants to pair it with in the future. I just love it when a plan comes together! Plus, I have one less thing on my ‘to-do’ list, and we all know how checking tasks off as completed feels wonderful!

Until next time,
XO
