This is my favorite time of the year Babes!!! Why? Party-wear inspired pieces ABSOLUTELY SATURATE the fashion scene, there is so much to choose from 😍😍😍 In fact, as I shared with you last year, this is the best time of year to stock up on frilly, feminine, over the top fashions! Think ahead, what summer events you plan to attend, what would you like to wear on vacation, and so on! Typically when those moments arise, you cannot find exactly what you're looking for: NOW IS THE TIME!
I kept a close eye on Atlantic Pacific's collaboration launch with Nordstrom. As soon as the items hit the site, I went in to claim this fabulously feminine tiered tulle skirt. It is a DREAM Babes! I can't wait to rock it this season, and every season for that matter! In my mind, I picture myself wearing it next summer with a cute white bralette top or halter...I can even picture it paired with RED...Come through SUMMER 2019 - I'm ready for you!!!
Until next time,
Xx

Neutral in Summer

My previous blog post (see here) featured one example of how to layer it up during the Summer season. Today’s look features a different variation of what I affectionately think of as, ‘Summer Layers’. Truly, lightweight layers can be most practical during the Summer months, and stylish!
I styled this neutral look for the Lovesick Launch & VIP Blogger Event that I attended last week. If you follow me on Instagram & Twitter you may have caught a glimpse of it already ;) Nonetheless, I wanted to be sure to share this look here on the blog too,as I know for a fact that a number of my readers do not use social media.
I scored this edgy tulle dress from Zara recently (new collection), and I tell you it really was love at first sight! I had absolutely no reservations (often I have to talk myself into or out of making a purchase) whatsoever about making buying it- and for me that is ALWAYS a GREAT sign :)
I opted to pair it with black because it just seemed to add to the edge factor that I was after; I topped it off with this fab hat that I scored a few months ago on vacation. Now, let’s talk about this double banded rhinestone cluster necklace!!! Would you believe that I just happened up on it in Express?!
That’s right---> Express! I haven’t been in there for ages, however I was on the hunt for blush colored separates and I wandered on in. Of course, I found very little to nothing in my size (they give plus size Babes NO LOVE) – but I did score at the jewelry rack! {{Insert happy dance emoji}} This necklace was exactly the bold statement that I needed for my look, so I scooped it up and happily exited :)
P.S. A special 'Thank you' to Sheena of IAmSheGlobal for snaping these photos for me!

I had fun at the Lovesick Launch! I also snagged a few goodies, and am looking forward to sharing them with you in the near future ;) Here are a few shots that I snapped while there:
Until next time Loves,

Glammed Up: Tulle Can Do No Wrong

It’s back by popular demand: Today’s post features my custom made tutu, a.k.a tulle skirt :) I posted a #FBF picture to my Instagram account (follow me @InMyJoi) a few weeks ago and everyone loved it, so I thought why not pull out my tulle-licious beauty once again! I love wearing my favorites over and over again, my tulle skirt is no exception.
See previous posts here and here.
This time of year often involves events that give one extra opportunities to glam up, I say what better way to do so than in a tulle skirt?!
Now I originally purchased this skirt for a white party, but I wondered just how much use I'd get out of it afterward. I must say, not only was it worth purchasing, but I also found a number of uses for this pristine white beauty all year around. (Please ignore my hair gone wild in the next picture)
If you’re thinking about ordering or perhaps making a tulle skirt but feel somewhat hesitant, allay your fears.
Tip(s):
Look for density or extra pouf factor which will provide more coverage.
Wear a similar colored slip underneath of your skirt is unlined like mine.
When it comes to tulle, bigger is better IMO.
Tulle is very easy to clean.
I used Spray & Wash to clean my skirt: thoroughly spray stains and place skirt in a plastic garment bag overnight. The next day fully rinse the skirt, removing all excess water with a towel.  Hang to dry. *For a skirt that is made exactly like mine, you may also braid the strips while wet to increase the pouf factor. When it dries unravel the braids, you will notice a crinkle effect.
Of course I vote “YAY” for tulle skirts, how about you?!

Reviewing 2013: A Few of My Favorite Looks

Unbelievably it is January 31st. I decided to do a round-up of some of my favorite looks from 2013.

As we move forward in 2014, I am assessing what style goals I'd like to set . How about you? What style goals are you working on?
