How to Wear White After Labor Day

The best way to wear white after Labor Day? JUST DO IT! ๐Ÿ˜‰ Seriously, there isn't much to it! Over the years I've shared looks here on the blog styled with white time and time again, after Labor Day. If you live in a mild climate, it can be easier to pull off because summer really never ends. If you live in a place where you get full exposure to all four seasons, say for example Michigan (where I am from), after summer think white denim jeans, denim skirts, knit dresses, scarves, and even boots (I love this pair of booties HERE). Long gone are the days where you have to relegate specific colors for wear during specified times of the year to be considered fashionably correct. You don't need permission to wear white after Labor Day, or instructions๐Ÿ™Œ Experiment to see what you like, what exemplifies your sense of style, and most importantly: HAVE FUN WITH IT!!!
Until next time Loves,
Xx

Spot On

Ears: c/o Charlotte Russe| Top: HERE| Jumpsuit: Sold out, similar picks here & here| Velvet platforms: c/o HERE| Clutch: Old, Carlos Santana

I hardly know where to start on today's #ootd Babes! This fit is a favorite already for so many reasons, how can I possibly count thee?! ๐Ÿ˜ƒ First off, black and white duos are absolutely LIFE in my opinion → when I spotted this jumpsuit I immediately knew that it belonged in my personal collection ๐Ÿ‘€ ❤
Secondly, this is mixed prints bliss in its most basic form, mirroring print on print! Itty bitty polka dots merge with large vibrant polka dots ๐Ÿ˜
Thirdly, this jumpsuit, this pattern, this cut ๐Ÿ‘‰ it was MADE for THIS body! LOL! The fabric is lightweight (unlined), making it ideal for spring and summer, not to mention fall (especially in mild climates)! I can actually even see it styled for winter with tights, a warm turtle neck or blouse/blazer combo- even popped with a sweater on top!
About my top: This mesh number is a closet staple, it can always stand in when you want to add a little extra coverage to any look.
YES, this dot on dot theme was simply too much for my print loving alter ego to resist!
Until next time,
XO

21 JumpStreet

Is it Monday again?! Why are the days of this month going by so fast? As I was preparing to type up this post I was completely astonished that in less than 2 weeks August 2014 will be said and done! I love having a full and busy life, but my goodness, time is moving faster than I am! Nonetheless, on to today’s post =)
I titled this post "21 JumpStreet" after an American television show that was on in the late 80s/early 90s. Holly Robinson-Peete (an actresses) had big hair, and wearing my hair like this totally reminded me of the show and her-LOL!
I looked up images online, and wouldn’t you know it, I actually spotted her in jacket that is similar to the top that I am wearing.
Now this midi skirt has been a favorite of mine for a number of years. Not only is the bright floral print in sync with me, but the practical linen material and attached cotton slip are winners for the summer heat.
Over time the waist seems to have stretched out a bit, and because of that, I notice that I don’t wear it nearly as often as I used to. However, that’s an easy fix, and because it’s in great shape otherwise, it shall continue on with my collective for years to come =)
Usually I pair it with white, orange, or yellow, but I wanted to try something different this time around. I searched through my collective, and decided to go with a touch of trendy by adding this acid wash chambray shirt.
Instead of a statement necklace, I opted for statement earrings.
A small handbag (leaving my bigger tote in the car) and matching acid wash platforms (worn here) finished off the look.
Please share below: Do you rock the acid wash trend, or do you prefer classic mainstream pieces?
Thanks for commenting, have a wonderful day Beauties!

Sunnies: Betsey Johnson
Earrings: Ross Dress for Less

Midi skirt: Liz Claiborne
Platforms: Kenneth Cole (also worn here)

Tie Dyed in Lace: Debuting a New 'Do'

Whenever I'm in the mood to switch up my do, I head over to Pinterest. This look was inspired by a pin that I previously pinned to my Naturalosity board.

It was quite easy and quick to do. I made five separate ponytails. I used coconut oil and mango butter for moisture. From each ponytail I divided the hair into two sections. One section was rolled upward (facing my forehead), and the other section was rolled downward (facing my nape). I used bobby pins to secure into place, and that was that!

On to my look: If you follow me on Instagram you know that I debated on purchasing these jeans a few weeks ago. I ended up getting them along with a matching shirt. I wasn't feeling a denim on denim look this go round, so I paired them with a black lace top instead. I added matching tie dye platforms and a fun clutch.
