Feminine Style with Amazon Fashion

Sunnies: HERE| Dress c/o HERE| Purse: HERE| Suede sandals: Via Spiga, similar here + another option here
-My faux fur poms are clip-ons that have long ago sold out 😣

I would definitely describe my personal style as feminine, I am such a girly girl at heart 💗 You'll catch me in dresses, frills, ruffles, pleats, a-line cuts, and just about anything else on the feminine side.
I'm siked to have teamed up with Amazon Fashion to share some of my picks from their massive collection of Women's fashion!
When I spotted this fabulous NAME BRAND lace inspired sweater dress for under 25 bucks- I was totally in disbelief! Note: As of today, it is still available (plus sizes only) at a discounted price, if you happen to wear a 1x. The fit is very generous, you may opt to size down.
I'm already a serious fan of this brand and their quality, you can imagine the heart palpitations that I encountered when I peeped the bargain price!
Although tomorrow marks the first official day of spring, it may take some time for the weather in your neck of the woods to catch up (including mine, as temperatures are heading down 😥). Sweater dresses make for great transitional pieces, they can be layered up (for instance I can see this dress paired with a trench, tights, and booties, or layered with a top underneath, socks, and shoes) + worn alone with equal style and pizzazz. This sweater dress is an excellent spring option, it features quarter length sleeves - enabling one to cope with the heat of a spring-like day along with typical evening cool downs.
I received a ton of compliments its grand debut to the office, I look forward to styling it again!

Until next time,
XO

Statement Check

Hey Loves! Today’s style story features a fantastically unique top from Grass-Fields. They call it ‘Royal’, and I must say- I concur!!! This beauty was/is an absolute pleasure to wear, it turns heads at every corner. I wore it to the office and a co-worker commented on how beautiful it was, stating that I looked like a peacock. I took that as a compliment, although I am not entirely clear on whether or not she meant it as one-LOL!!!

My blog provides ample evidence that I totally bat for Team Bold Color and Team Vibrant Prints (often mixing them up whenever possible). When I saw this top online, I was immediately smitten. Made of fabulous Ankara, boasting a glorious high-low hem, and n adjustable waist cincher- come on, what’s  not to love?!

Thus far I’ve only styled it with denim pants, but I can also see myself wearing it with a pencil skirt, and shorts. I open to additional ideas, how would you style this number? Grass-Fields services sizes small-4X - I love their size inclusive options!

Did you notice the beautiful “Journey” pendant that I’m wearing? It's from Kevin Jewelers, I snagged it over the weekend for this month’s blog feature. I previously announced here that I am working with KJ as a Brand Influencer. An awesome perk of our partnership is that I get to check out their fab inventory each month! Kevin’s provides a number of value pieces for the price conscious customer. For example, they offer blue diamond earrings, 1 carat flower diamond earrings, and 1 carat solitaire earrings ranging in price from $29-$995! Get this: For the entire month of October, Kevin Jewelers is having a “Clear the Case” sale---> That means you can score BIG right now! An added bonus --> Kevin Jewelers is a proud supporter of Breast Cancer Awareness month! For certain purchases, KJ will donate 10% to The Breast Cancer Fundraiser ;)

Until next time,
XO

Digital Confetti

Hey fellow Style Lovers!
This is the very first weekend in September and everywhere that I look seems to sing 'Fall Mode' (in a loud high pitched tone). Have you noticed that? What's a gal to do when the temperatures just aren't quite yet, shall we say: 'Fall-Like'?

I decided to make the best of it, and to wear this colorful number to a family BBQ.
About a half hour in, while everyone is relaxing out on the deck, a torrential downpour occurs! You guessed it: I'm not in California :)
BTW- My husband was teasing me on this picture and I'm threatening to throw my bag at him ;)
As I've mentioned before, I'm from Detroit, Michigan. I treasure my visits home. This visit has been no different, and interestingly the stormy weather was a highlight because it's been so long since I've experienced it! I never would have imagined that there would be a time in my life where/when rain would actually fascinate me. The benefit of ample rain results in beautiful lush landscapes, something lacking in Los Angeles.

Now the heat and humidity made for an interesting hair story. As soon as I stepped off of the plane I could feel the pouf factor triple on my curly tresses. I had a mental image of a giant cotton ball sitting on of top my head. With few options in mind, I opted for an up-do. My grandma chuckled when she saw me, and then asked how in the world did I pin up all my hair so neatly. My reply? 'With 1000 hairpins of course!'

Now to talk just a bit about what I'm wearing: The digital print on this dress reminds me of a toss up between skittles candy and party confetti. Either way, it elicits feelings of happiness :)
It showcases a frilly, feminine, one-shoulder double tiered ruffle detail with raw edges. Check out the rounded hem,  it's slightly longer in the back. Now I typically don't crush over high-low hem dresses (and only try them when the price is extremely marked down), but I actually like the balance of this design. Truly just about every trend can be mastered to your personal taste, when the proper balance is in place!
That wraps up today's post- have a G R E A T weekend!

Scuba Meets Vibrant Graphic Print

The weather has been unseasonably mild here in Southern California. It's hard to fathom that we are nearing the end of January.

Today's post features an outfit that's perfect for a mild evening/night out.

Of course, being the lover of vintage that I am, I "needed" to wear my elbow length vintage gloves.
No, but seriously, they are a nice alternative for milder temperatures when going sleeveless.
If temps are cooler, a shirt can be worn underneath and tights along with boots.

The dress is easily transitioned to the cooler night air with a moto jacket.

I really like my crochet collar necklace, as it dresses up the neckline.
For a more casual look, I remove the necklace, gloves, heels, clutch, and moto jacket.
Instead, I pair it with a black sweater, ballet flats, and a handbag.
The colors and the print in the skirt of this dress are very vibrant. I wanted them to be the main focal point.
To accomplish that, I kept all accompanying colors dark.
Jewelry: Nordstrom Rack (For those that follow me on IG, you know that I scored the earrings for $1.00 USD!)
Dress: Just Taylor
Leather Gloves: Vintage, thrifted (similar worn here)
Faux Leather Moto Jacket: Jones New York
Booties: Kelsi Dagger (also seen here and here)
Clutch: Vintage, thrifted
