Midi Mania - 1 Skirt Styled 2 Ways

sunnies: HERE | top: HERE| skirt: c/o HERE| patent leather sandals: similar HERE

A classic wardrobe staple is a midi skirt. The one featured in today's post stood out to me particularly because of its fabulous leopard print paired with red and pink hues 😍
I styled it in two simple ways that could totally be ideal for a summer day.
Which look is your favorite?! I'm forever partial to red...
Until next time,

For the Grey of It

Sunnies: Old | Romper: c/o HERE| Straw bag: MARSHALLS| Gingham sandals: c/o HERE
PSA: I plan to LIVE in shorts all summer long! Is it summer yet?πŸ‘€
If there's one thing that I came to appreciate more fully after I started blogging my personal style: MY LEGS!
When I was down south last month one of my cousins told me my legs were juicy, I readily agreed with her 😁
Yes, my legs have come to be one of my favorite physical attributes, it's only right that I create space for them to shine!
Until next time,
Xx

Today's post features a lπŸ‘€k perfect for the Cali version of fall πŸ˜‰or for shall we say, 'Indian Summer'? Bare shoulders, long sleeves, midi skirt ready, and open toe shoes. Clearly it is pedicure season all year-round here! Nonetheless, I am still amazed by how quickly the temperatures can shift when the sun goes down... One minute you're sweating, and the next minute you wonder why you don't have a coat on-LOL! I scored this top at the beginning of summer this year, but I instantly knew that it would be perfect for mild fall days. I always think of alternate ways to wear a piece at the time of purchase, often what I come up with is the deciding factor. Before all is said and done, this top will also be styled with a turtleneck, preferably one that is sleeveless...
Moving on: This pinstripe skirt is a closet newbie from Simply Be, I ❤ its classic print and wrap design. Despite its simplicity, it really is a showstopper. I decided to add olive green to the red, white, and blue color trio because olive is a natural fall neutral. It can stand in well for brown and nude hues. I grabbed an old Coach bag out of my stash and hit the door.
Until next time,
Xx

Off and On Again

Headwrap: Old scarf| Dress: c/o HERE| Beaded clutch: Zara

Have you ever changed your mind about a particular style ? For instance at one point it was a favorite but then over time you found that you didn't like it so much anymore? Or perhaps you always shied away from it, but then found that it was a style you actually liked  at present? I have had an on/off relationship with maxi dresses/skirts for years. On one hand I loved the seemingly endless flow, but then on another hand I felt that they were totally unflattering to my height. For a few years I did not buy or wear them at all. However last summer my style taste for them shifted, I found myself willing to wear them here and there. This summer I am fully on board, as a result I have acquired a number of maxi dresses along with a skirt or two. Apparently 2017 is the summer of the maxi! LOL! I'm enjoying this moment, without putting pressure on myself to make this a long-term affair 😏
Until next time,
Xx
