In Knit to Win It

Wool fedora: August Hat Company| Statement earrings: HERE + weight supports HERE
Knit sweater: c/o HERE| Maxi skirt: HERE| Faux fur scarf: ZARA
A few weeks back I fell in love with thee most beautiful jeweled statement earrings 😍 Have I mentioned that I L❤VE statement earrings?! We all know accessory selections really do matter, for instance statement earrings can elevate a simple outfit effortlessly. Lately I've been partial to colorful fringe and or tassel statement earrings (the bigger the better) - but this gorgeous duo swept me off my feet by surprise. I initially spotted them online, but I wanted to see them in-person prior to making a firm commitment. I headed over to the brick & mortar locale, happily they were in stock, and unbelievably they were just as stunning in-person. I snapped them up in a hurry (along with a few other things that I most certainly did not need), and raced home to play dress up in them.
Surprise, surprise, surprise πŸ˜’ They were heavy πŸ˜“Very heavy πŸ˜– Too heavy 😷 Ridiculously H E A V Y 😳
My ears hurt just just from trying them on!
A decision had to be made. Should I attempt to return the earrings, or try to find a way to wear them painlessly? I opted to search for a way to alleviate the pain (and any possible damage to my ears)...during a google search, I discovered a wonderful invention for earring lovers HERE. Someone figured out that removable lapels can support the weight of an earring and how to apply them to and from the ear with ease. At first I doubted the validity of the advert claims, but I read through hundreds of positive reviews. I decided to give it a shot and I'm so happy that I did! Now I can wear all of my statement earrings carefree!
Until next time Babes,
Xx

Live Out Loud

For a number of years I wished that I could blend in, meaning- I wanted to be able go about my day-to-day activities escaping everyone’s notice. You see, I’ve always been a fan of bold colors, and my style of dress, and or overall appearance (I’m not sure which?) always seems to…well…be noticed! I can remember wishing in grade school that I could somehow ‘disappear’ and just carry on without any notice. Have you ever felt that way? I suspect the fact that I am an admitted introvert had something to do with such feelings…but who can be sure!? LOL! Anywho, I viewed my style of dress as something solely ‘for me’, I didn’t look forward to having face to face dialogue about it or not much of anything else for that matter, HA! Fast forward a number of years later, I am beyond amazed at the length and depth of my personal journey. True, I am the appreciative introvert (I discussed it previously here) but despite such – I live out loud!
Today’s look represents my second style pick from Eliza J. (see my 1st pick here)! This knit off the shoulder top and ball gown maxi skirt takes on GLAMOROUS by storm! Perfection for an after five affair, a dressy dinner party, and alas - a fantastic option for a very special date night!

Stay tuned Babes for my third and final pick of ‘Get Glam with Eliza J.’!!!

XO

Ball Gown Skirt

I'm head over heels for classic ball gown skirts and some of their trendier counterparts. As evidenced by my preference to wear tulle skirts whenever possible (see here, here, and here), the ball gown skirt's femininity takes me by storm.
Am I the only one who longs for time eras when it was perfectly normal to dress up on every occasion?
Curls Gone Wild
It's ironic, although I was not a fan of maxi skirts, in the last two years several have made their way inside my style loving heart. See examples here and here. My style is an evolution, I'm so curious to see what additions 2015 will bring ;) Have you set new style goals for 2015?
