Mixing Prints: Leopard on Leopard | Take 2
As promised, I’m back in leopard print, and this time I’m taking a gamble mixing leopard prints!

In Monday’s post (see here) I admitted that I have not always felt comfortable wearing full on leopard print clothing. An accessory here and there, oh yes, I mean of course – but a full look, um, not so much. I never took out the time to consider why I felt that way, I suppose it’s because I thought it didn’t feel like “Me”. My feelings have changed, and boy am I glad that they have!
I won this Jungle Cat Fit and Flare Dress courtesy of an Eloquii Instagram contest, and it is simply glorious! The bodice has unique faux leather details, while the skirt is super full and generously styled with box pleats.
Being the vintage lover that I am, it seemed only right to pair it with vintage mink accents, and a retro up-do. To accomplish this look, I spiraled my hair with hot curlers, and then pinned it somewhat sporadically with dozens of bobby pins and a few jumbo ones.
My husband says he likes this dress styled best without the vintage accents.
What’s your opinion: Do you like the added personal touches of vintage fur or not so much?
Oh, and how could I forget to mention my shoes?! My broken toe is just about all healed, which means that I can now step out in fun heels again! I’m in love with this pair of kitties, not only is the style fantastic, but get this: They are comfortable too! That’s a win/win in my book =)
Thank you for stopping in today and for commenting below. Have a great day!

ReplyDeleteThanks D! I simply heart this dress, and I've got a few more ways to rock it up my sleeve ;) Yea, hubby wins on this one. Perhaps he should be my stylist-LOL!
DeleteA very cute dress and it works with the sandals, but I also agree with your hubby.
ReplyDeleteThanks Glenda! I see hubby wins on this one :)
DeleteI love this dress. You look amazing. I love the animal print on animal print as well. You've inspired me to try that myself. I'm a huge love of vintage myself and this dress is on my wishlist now. Glad to hear your toe is almost healed too. X x
ReplyDeleteTry it Mookie, I know it will look amazing on YOU! Vintage resonates with me in such a powerful way, I really love older style eras. Thank you and I'll be on the lookout for your leopard print look :)\

You won that? It is perfect on you and I love the green colors in this leopard dress. I hope to see it again and again.
ReplyDeleteCan you believe it Neti?!?! Yeeesss, I won it!!! I can't wait to style it another way :) Thank you!
DeleteThis dress looks fab on you! I love Eloquii's stuff! And I'm a leopard print freak!
ReplyDeleteThanks Jeniese!!! This is my very first piece from them, and I love the craftsmanship!
DeleteOooooh, girl! Taking the animal trend to the next level! Those fur accessories add such a chicness to this look! I love that animal print is really branching away from the neutral palette and experimenting with more color. I am loving green for fall, and the more I see it, the more I need it!

Hey Liz! Yay, I'm so glad at least one person is with me on adding fur to this look :))) I totally agree, I love seeing animal prints in vibrant colors, actually I think that this dress would look FAB in RED! But according to Pantone, Green is totally in for Fall 2014, and I've seen it all over the runways. Thank you!
