Drenched in Tangerine

This color reminds me of the bright colored outer peel of a tangerine. I love bright colors, as you can see throughout this blog. There's something about them that feels so me. I've worn this skirt before, but the silk blouse is a recent addition from the thrift shop. It has a boxy shape, and is a bit large on me, so I modified it with a front tie-up.
Usually I wear a pair of orange shoes with this skirt, but this time I tried it with nude pumps.

Although I work in a very conservative environment,  I wore this look to the office.
Do you wear bold colors to the office?

Silk blouse: Talbots, thrifted
Statement necklace: Saks Off Fifth
Tube skirt: Vince Camuto
Nude shoes: Jessica Simpson

  1. Gorgeous. No bright colours for work I would be sent home. Strict colours like black navy, grey. So old fashioned. Sassy Sewing Bees https://facebook.com/sassysewingbees ❀

    1. Thank you! Wow, that can be challenging to adhere to! I worked in retail for one month while venturing outside of corporate life, I had a hard time wearing dark colors each day.

  4. You look so pretty! I love the color and the nude shoes were perfect!

Sometimes I wear bright colors to work. I'm more apt to wear some kind of (animal) print though, lol.

    1. Thanks Whit! I'd like to venture out with animal prints, especially to add a few leopard pieces to my rotation :)

  5. I really like that color on you. The outfit looks wonderful. I would periodically wear bold-colored outfits to the office. I intentionally wore them when I needed a pick-me-up.
