The Green Room

Today's post features my very first time styling clothing from Yours Clothing.  They reached out to me about a month ago, I was excited as I've seen the brand on the scene for a while but hadn't had the opportunity to sample any of their deigns for myself. I selected a few pieces perfect for Summer 2017. Today's look was styled around a YOURS tropical print culotte jumpsuit.
Can we please start with this print?! 😍😍😍
PSA: I'm slightly obsessed with the color green (fast fact - my bedroom is a super lush green color) and anything reminiscent of tree leaves is a win-win in my book!
I love how this print takes on a dark floral approach, but I can equally see and appreciate it with a crisp white backdrop versus blackπŸ˜‰
Culottes are a great alternative to shorts, full skirts, and pants during warm weather months. This jumpsuit is lightweight, and super comfortable on a hot day. Thus far, I've worn it to the office and to the beach for a leisurely stroll. Wouldn't you know it, I received a number of compliments 😊
Style note: To brighten up the print, I have also styled this jumpsuit with a sleeveless white duster & matching white head wrap.
Until next time,
Xx

Autumn Dreams

As temperatures soar into the 100's, it is so hard to grasp that the Fall season is upon us! SoCal basically has two seasons: Spring and Summer.
Nevertheless, being the Midwest gal that I am and always will be, at times I long for breezy Fall days, drifting leaves, and going to my favorite cider mill.
Not to be mistaken: I have come to appreciate living in mild temperatures all year around, and the natural beauty that is California. Just look up,  you’ll see beautiful blue skies 90% of the time, and palm trees swaying gently in the wind.
Nonetheless, having four seasons, when each are truly in balance versus extreme (hat or cold) is a real treat. One of my favorite things about Fall is FALL FASHION! Who can resist the fantastic textures, colors, layering effects, snuggly scarves, boots and so on?!
I longingly looked in my wardrobe last night, at a recent vintage score (a coat that is just so ME), and wished for cooler temperatures so that I could wear it properly.
Perhaps I need to take another trip, to ensure that I stay in sync with my Midwestern roots :)
Oh, and better yet, so that I can fully bask in the glory of Fall fashion!

Until next time Loves,
X

Blue Floral Print Midi Length Dress

Today's outfit post features a midi length floral dress with blues and purples. It's thrifted and vintage, but I am not sure how vintage? 70s or 80s, maybe? I'm leaning more toward 80s, it makes me think of Marianne's or Winkleman's...Does anybody remember shopping at those stores?! I'm aging myself...

This go round I paired it with a turquoise shrug.  Usually on warm days, I wear it as is, sleeveless. Today's fall temps hit 80 (Fahrenheit), and now that I am acclimated to warmer temps most of the time, 80 can feel a tad nippy in the shade! LOL!
I also rocked my new favorite shades from Heavenly Couture.

What I wore:
Shades: Heavenly Couture
Necklace & studs: H&M
Shrug: Calvin Klein
Dress: Thrifted & Vintage
Peep-toe pumps: Giani Bernini
Handbag: Coach
