The Cold Shoulder

I’m serving cold shoulders in today’s style story, featuring this beautiful number that I’ve taken way too long to wear. You see, last Summer I went a little crazy with several shopping hauls, all with one common theme: dresses. Last time I counted the number was over 25…and then… I stopped counting...
So I mentioned that the weather has been all over the place here; On the day that I shot this look, it felt like it was 85 degrees! Fast forward to yesterday, it was chilly, raining, and gloomy. I won’t complain because sporadic weather serves my wardrobe well in some ways. For instance, it gives me the chance to play in wear for every season, sometimes all in one day!
Going shoulder-less in some way or another has been encouraged by multiple runway shows, and I'm here for it! Not only does this dress hit the trend target but it totally has the best bonus: a classic floral print! I go for classic over trends 75% of the time. This number is easily dressed up or down, superbly made, plus it has vibrant, saturated color. I can honestly say: I am looking forward to wearing it again and again.
Just for the fun of it, I decided to add in a subtle print toss. My jumbo clutch was just the pattern mix that I needed. I love this combo, and guess what? My husband says that he really likes it too! When I pull off something that we both like, I’m winning!!! You see hubby's style is quite traditional, think black, grey, and navy or pinstripes and solids. Of course, my style is very different and all over the place! But as the saying goes, opposites attract- and Honey is stuck with me (18 years and counting)!
Until next time Dolls,
XO

A Second Take in Sangria

Hey Style Lovers! I hope you’re enjoying a wonderful weekend! I had a good weekend, and actually feel ready for a new week beginning tomorrow. I’m back in another Sangria dress for today’s post (click here to see previous post); I just love how this color looks against my skin tone.
I took a quick count, and who knew: I actually have 5 dresses that fall into the Wine/Sangria color category! This color is projected as a top runner for this Fall, I am completely HERE and so ready for it!
Now this dress is quite versatile in my opinion, it can easily be dressed up or down. Since I was feeling casual this time around I added two favorite fall accessories: legwarmers and a light scarf.
On the day that I wore this look, temperatures drifted into the 70s (Fahrenheit) and I felt delightfully comfortable.

Graphically Joi

Hey there Style Lovers! How are you? I'm doing ok, or shall I say: 'hanging in there'.
Today I’m sharing a fab straight-cut, graphic print dress with you.

I tend not to gravitate to straight-cut dresses because oftentimes it can be challenging for me to find a fit that I am personally comfortable with.

A common problem
The top portion is overwhelmingly too big, while the bottom portion cuts off my circulation in the hip/thigh area.
Suggested solution:
I purchased this dress in a larger size, and found myself surprisingly quite satisfied with the fit! It could be taken in a bit in a spot or two, but I simply decided not to bother with it.
I’ve styled it in numerous ways, for this go round I kept it very simple.

When I wear navy & white it’s so hard for me to resist wearing a red lip! Do you feel the same way?
Well, with a red lip, one must carry a red handbag- right?! LOL! I thought so, after all, I like to follow all the 'rules' =)

This look is very practical and easily transitions from business to pleasure =)
Now in my opinion, my natural colored leather peep-toe booties go with everything. I look forward to any excuse to take them out on the town. Imagine this: They’re comfortable, I can walk for several hours in them with no issues = winning!

Have a great day Beauties, I appreciate you for stopping by and commenting below ;)
