Pale Pink + Dusty Rose

I plan over 90% of my looks in advance.  How? Well, I spend some time about twice a month re-trying on my clothes, pairing up new combinations, and re-checking my inventory. In this way I know if the fit of a particular item has changed (*hint hint), if it has a stain that perhaps I didn’t notice before, and or a tear or missing button, etc.,. It may sound strange, but I actually anticipate doing this, it’s something that I really enjoy!
My cat Patch often joins in the fun by watching me, or standing with me in the mirror. Next I log my ideas, and hang up the selected combinations separate from the rest of my clothes. When I get ready to get dressed in the mornings, or sometimes the night before, I check my log and select a look from there. It takes all of the guesswork out of getting dressed for me, and I love that!
Every now and then I wear something spontaneously, and actually feel happy with what I select. Usually though, I get a dreaded case of... “I have nothing to wear” mania, so I stick to my log! LOL! Inquiring minds want to know: Do you plan your looks in advance, or select them spontaneously?!

  2. Like you, I feel better when I plan looks in advance. I can't believe you do this as well...lol. I am literally up to the wee hours in the morning sometimes trying on outfit combos...simply because I love it. I mean who doesn't love playing dress up?? Love your outfit and the color palette is beautiful against your skin :)

  4. I also plan my blog looks ahead of time.
You look fun and flirty. One thing I enjoy about visiting your blog, in addition to your outfits, is to see how you've styled your hair. Always cute. Have a great weekend!

    1. I plan all of my looks in advance, not just the ones for the blog! I wish I could keep a chart again, but that would totally show my OCD side... You inspire me to continue to experiment with my hair! Thank you!

  5. Oh. My. Gosh. Your little socks and heels remind me of Dorothy. Love! You took these dusky hues and made them look perfectly autumnal and wintry. So lovely!

  8. I.. love.. this.. OUTFIT! The entire thing. The top knot in your hair was a stroke of genius. This is probably one of the best looks I've seen on any blog, ever. Very inspired.

Oh, and I brainstorm my 'fits. Folks catch me in a faraway place sometimes (usually my closet LOL), with a vacant look on my face. I always have a back-up outfit, tho it usually doesn't bring me as much joy as the one I had originally planned. Luckily, I've only had to rely on the back-up maybe 10% of the time.

I love that, looking in the closet is a faraway place! LOL!
Back-ups definitely come in handy too!
