Tie Dyed in Lace: Debuting a New 'Do'

Whenever I'm in the mood to switch up my do, I head over to Pinterest. This look was inspired by a pin that I previously pinned to my Naturalosity board

It was quite easy and quick to do. I made five separate ponytails. I used coconut oil and mango butter for moisture. From each ponytail I divided the hair into two sections. One section was rolled upward (facing my forehead), and the other section was rolled downward (facing my nape). I used bobby pins to secure into place, and that was that!

On to my look: If you follow me on Instagram you know that I debated on purchasing these jeans a few weeks ago. I ended up getting them along with a matching shirt. I wasn't feeling a denim on denim look this go round, so I paired them with a black lace top instead. I added matching tie dye platforms and a fun clutch.

  2. Joi, you are a beautiful young lady and you are completely rocking this look. The hair and the simple but edgy/retro outfit works great together. I love the picture you took under the tree. It is feminine, yet you see the effects of city life. Great post and great look!

  3. You are such a fashion plate full of good stuff. You did a good job on the hair - It's vintage!! My Grammy used to rock this style many years ago! And, of course I love the jeans and shoes. Kudos to your photographer for such good scenery.
